Artist statement
Painting is about passion and happiness: the ability to let go and to search for something one may never fully capture. It is a ball of yarn unwinding itself more and more, but always in a different direction.
I try to capture my landscapes, nudes and still life paintings the way I envision them. But then - during the process - I abandon my original plan and something different might emerge. In the end everything comes together as I had in mind from the start. Sometimes I do not know exactly what I am looking for, but gradually it reveals itself in the course of time.
Each series, each painting is a new adventure although this may hardly be the case at the time.
